I just watched Australia vs Qatar soccer match. Australia only needed a draw to be qualified to get into the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. And lucky for them the other team looked as if they didn’t want to score or didn’t know how to play. I am sorry but the match was boring. There was no passion or excitment in it. Well not that I felt it. In the second half the socceroos were just passing the ball the each other with ease and the other team were terrible.
OK, there were some instances that the Aussies and the other team nearly scored goals but it was like meh. Maybe it was just me and I wasn’t feeling it today.
Maybe it was the time that it was on here in Melbourne and I was in a bad mood before I even started watching it so the dullness would just be for me.
If you saw it, what did you think of the match? Was it really exciting or did you find it a bit dull?
Well even if the game was a bit dull I am still so excited that the Socceroos will be going to their consecutive FIFA World Cup. I cannot wait for this tournament to start next year. And lets hope Lucas Neil does not give another team a free kick in the last 2 – 1 of the end of the game to let them score a goal! Oh how I am still scarred by it and how I still can’t forgive Lucas Neil. We could have beat Ukraine and Germany and would have gone into the finals. Ok I’ll stop. I’m going to make myself cry! 
Oh yeah how can I forget the hissy fits and the arguments that the players were having. When Harry Kewell shoved a Qatar player, that was priceless. Also When Lucas Neil had a run in with a player. Oh and did anyone see the aussie player being knocked down and it looked like the other team’s players were kicking him? That was the only exciting thing in the whole game.
