The Box

Hi.

I think today’s theme of the posts is horror/thriller movies. Who doesn’t like a good horror movie? I think it is because I can hear the wind outside and the rain.

Ok, this movie stars Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella. The concept of the movie is that a married couple are having money issues and one night a box comes to their door step with a button inside of it. Then the next day a man goes thier house and explains that if they press the button it will kill only one person, anywhere in the world and they will receive a million dollars but if they don’t press it well all hell breaks lose. Well the decision is a simple one isn’t?

I will defiantly watch this movie when it comes out! 29 September 2009 in Australia, 30 September 2009 in the USA, 4 December 2009 in the UK and 4 February 2010 in Czech Republic.

Check out the trailer and tell me what you think of it.

The Last Airbender

Hi.

I found a new movie teaser. I really hate teasers! They don’t tell you the whole story. Further investigating has led me to discover this movie is based on a Nickelodeon cartoon series. The trailer is very enticing and leaves you wanting more. I was surprised it is based on a cartoon as I thought it as based on a book. But no matter. Oh and it comes out Winter 2010 in Australia I would guess as it is out in the USA summer in 2010.

So check it out and tell me what you think.

I Hate Valentine’s Day

Hi.

New movie from Nia Vardalos and John Corbett, who both starred in My Fat Greek Wedding are teaming up again in this new romantic comedy! Aka Chick Flick!

This movie looks rather corny and predicatable but I love these types of movies and I just can’t wait to see it!

Enjoy the Trailer.

2012

Hi.

There is a new “end of the world” movie and I am so scared to even watch the trailer!
Well Mayans calendar only goes up until December 21, 2012 and so it seems the world will be ending on that date. And the reason I get so terrified by this movie is that I hate stories about the world ending. In grade 1 the teacher read Noah and the Ark. I was 7 years old and that scared the shit out of me. Granted those times they were saying the world was going to end in the year 2000 and the y2k and everything.

The first teaser was the worst as it had a big water scene in it and I can’t swim and I have a fear of drowning so yeah so scary but I love the graphics. This movie wont be the best movie ever but I reckon it’s worth a look.

Bruno

Hi.

Yes the crazy Sacha Baron Cohen is back with another hilarious, outrages, uncomfortable to watch and political incorrect movie. Looks funny but might not live up to the hype? We’ll just have to wait and see :-)
Just Click on the link to watch the trailer. Sorry must be 18+…

And I enjoyed the last movie. I will certainly be going to see this one for sure.

Slumdog Millionaire + The Oscars

Hi.

I watched the 81st Academy Awards live as Channel 9 was showing it at 12 pm. I wanted to see Hugh Jackman host the show and see if he could hold his own. I have watched the Awards nearly every year and I know it is sometimes so boring but I liked the show this year. How Hugh sang and did a musical sequence with Anne Hathoway. My favourite part of the ceremony was when they did the Musical number with all the musical movies during the years being featured.

The Best moment of the awards in my opinion is when Slumdog Millionaire won for The Best Picture. I really liked the movie. It is one of the best I have seen in awhile. You really should go watch it. And it’s all in English with like a few parts with subtitles. But trust me it is worth it!

(p.s this post is weak and I will try to do another one in a couple of days)

I found these clips from Youtube and I wanted to share it with you guys

I love the Musicals are Back performance!!!!!!!

He’s Just Not Into You

Hi
I went to the movies to watch He’s Just Not Into You. It was an alright movie but it got me thinking about relationships and how men and women play games. I mean it’s pointless. Why can’t we talk to the person we are interested in and admit our feelings. On one hand if everyone did admit there feelings then there would be a lot of people getting hurt and rejected or in a good scenario there would be a lot more people getting laid.

I have not ever been in love, well maybe one sided love, and I sometimes wonder if there is someone for anyone. I just can’t grasp the concept of it. How can there only be one person in the world that can connect with you like no one else can. What if your true love died before you ever met them?

Or is it a reasonable statement to state that if you are the unlucky unfortunate soul who dies suddenly before they even had a chance to met their soul mate, does that mean you wouldn’t even had a soul mate to begin with because the cosmos/God/gods knew you were going to die young so they never made you a partner for life.

I am not talking about sex. Yes, you can have sex with anyone and anything. I am talking about once in a life time love of my life type love. I don’t even know if it exists. No one respects people like that any more. Maybe nobody ever did. My parents aren’t divorced and are still happy together I think. Well dad went bike riding to the shops on Valentine’s Day in the morning to get her fresh flowers, chocolates and both of them went out to have lunch together.

But now that the divorce rates are up to 50%. No wonder some people have stopped believing in true love. I guess it isn’t that much alive in the modern world where sex is the norm and love is the latter. But that doesn’t deter me trying to find it.
